LALOS : Crusty in the Bakery...

Frédéric LALOSWarm and dynamic, Frédéric Lalos’ personality reflects his passion for the bakery.

As a true professional, Frédéric Lalos received a training in both bakery and pastry. He learns the ropes at the Matignon Hotel – where he serves two Prime Ministers – and in the very prestigious group Lenôtre. In 1997, being only 26 years old, he receives the supreme title of “Meilleur Ouvrier de France” (Best French Worker), becoming the youngest winner in the history of this prestigious competition. Two years later, he opens his first bakery with Pierre-Marie Gagneux : Le Quartier du Pain. At 40 years old, they have opened already 5 bakeries in Paris.

In spite of all this success, Frédéric Lalos is still a very unpretentious man with a strong will to share his passion for the great bread and the perfect hand-made croissant. Recently, the Pudlo guide designated him as “Baker of the year 2010”, rewarding years of hard work.
